However, Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez says that “there has been no offer for Juve Coach”.
And when asked about another target Ernesto Valverde, Fernandez said, “He’s a very serious person, and I’ve known him for many years, he works well. I’ll decide on the new coach after talking with the President.”
At this point of the season, Barcelona has reached the quarter-final in Champions League after a historic comeback against PSG.  The Spanish club also reached the final of the domestic cup competition,  Copa del Rey and are in the second position of La Liga two points behind Real Madrid with one more game played.

Primary focus on the present

The primary focus for Luis Enrique this season – is to salvage everything he can from his players. The Blaugrana club look motivated and energised to give their manager a fitting farewell.
Luis Enrique has had a great career in Barcelona. But he has not been free from criticisms. Continuous rumours about spats with his star player Lionel Messi has clouded his Barcelona stint. But, the former Real Madrid and Barcelona player won a treble in his first season with Barcelona. Despite the constant criticisms, he won another domestic double last season.

Other targets

Jorge Sampaoli was also on the radar. However, the manager has denied any contact with Barcelona. Furthermore, his Champions League failure against Leicester also put a dent in his hopes.
Meanwhile, for Massimiliano Allegri, Arsenal might be another suitable destination. The former AC Milan coach is one of the frontrunners for the job at Emirates along with Thomas Tuchel.
