Highest Paid Serie A Players: Juventus striker Higuan paid the most

Including the teams like Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Roma and Napoli, Italian league is one of the top five leagues in Europe. So it’s no surprise Serie A has a number of stars with bumper contracts. We take a look at the top 10 highest paid Serie A players:

10. Carlos Bacca (AC Milan, €3.5 million)

Carlos Bacca joined AC Milan on 2 July 2015 from Sevilla. The Colombian striker has a contract at AC Milan with a salary of 3.5 million euros.

9. Mohamed Salah (Roma, €3.5 million)

Mohamed Salah came to Roma in 2015 as a loan player of Chelsea football club. On 3 August 2016 however, Roma made the deal permanent and the Egypt international earns 3.5 million euros.

8.  Marek Hamsik (Napoli, €3.5 million)

Marek Hamsik, Slovak midfielder, is captain of the Italian club Napoli. The midfielder has a contract at Napoli with a salary of 3.5 million euros.

7. Mauro Icardi (Inter Milan, €3.6 million)

Mauro Icardi also serves as captain for Italian Club Inter Milan. The Argentine striker joined Inter in 2013 and earns 3.6 million euros.

Meanwhile, sixth in our list is Juventus’ and Italy’s legendary goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon.
The Juventus shot keeper is one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time. Captain of both Juventus and Italy national team, Gianluigi Buffon earns 4 million euros.

5. Sami Khedira (Juventus, €4 million)

Sami Khedira joined Juventus in 2015 from Real Madrid. The former Real Madrid central midfielder has a contract at Juventus with a salary of 4 million euros.

4. Miralem Pjanic (Juventus, €4.5 million)

Miralem Pjanic joined Juventus at the start of 2016/17 season. The former Roma midfielder earns 4.5 million euros in his current club.

Gonzalo Higuain is one of the top strikers in the world. He scored 36 league goals in the 2015-16 season, also equaling the 87-year-old record for goal in an Italian top flight season.
Subsequently, Juventus signed him from Napoli for a record 90 million euros in the beginning of last summer. The former Real Madrid man has highest salary in Italian league; 7.5 million euros.
