Even with more than a month to go for the window, the silly season never seems to go away. Spanish paper Don Balon are now reporting that Real Madrid are eyeing a move for City star Sergio Aguero.
Real Madrid haven’t started well this season with Barcelona surging up in the table with a ten point lead. However, a part of it broils down to their own failure in the transfer window.
The Galacticos let go one of their most influential players last season in Alvaro Morata in the summer without finding a proper alternative to the Spaniard. Likewise, James Rodriguez and Danilo also left the club causing a dearth of options for coach Zinedine Zidane.
Nevertheless, according to the Spanish paper, Florentino Perez looks to make amends as they prepare a 60 million euros bid for the Argentine striker.
Manchester City are blooming so far this season firing goals from all cylinders. The Citizens have done so without normal playing time for their all-time top scorer who has shared minutes with Gabriel Jesus.
With Real Madrid looking to strengthen their options upfront, a move to Santiago Bernabeu could interest the forward.
The Argentine has a better chance to start regularly at Santiago Bernabeu with Karim Benzema his only competition.
The French forward scored just 11 goals last season while his poor record has continued this season as well.
Move possible only if City get Sanchez
Don Balon also report that the large part of the January move will go down to whether Arsenal let Sanchez leave the club.
Manchester City failed in a late surge to sign Alexis Sanchez last summer, much to Chilean’s dismay. However, the Citizens are expected to extend their interest over the summer with a serious competition potentially awaiting Aguero.
