Mauro Icardi’s recent links with Real Madrid doesn’t worry Inter boss Luciano Spalletti.
The striker is in sensational form for Inter Milan this season, scoring thirteen from as many games so far.
With his goalscoring spree, rumors are floating around that Spanish giants Real Madrid are looking to strengthen their forward lineup with his signatures.
The Los Blancos successfully defended their Champions League crown last season and also won their first league title in five years.
However, Real have struggled to emulate the same dominance this season and already trail Barcelona by ten points domestically.
One particular miss has surely been Alvaro Morata who scored crucial goals from the bench to win games for the Los Blancos.
With no other out and out striker option than Karim Benzema, Real lack an alternate match plan to assert their authority.
Icardi could be in the shortlist, but Inter boss believes the striker has no intentions to leave.
He said, in a pre-match conference (translated from Italian): “Scare me? Who wouldn’t like to have Icardi? Is it just Real Madrid chasing him? I believe everybody wants him.
“For me, I would be eternally concerned if I only had to worry about Real Madrid.
“I know one thing – I see him totally in love with Inter and when I speak with him I can feel this. That’s why I can reveal this to you. He loves the City, the teammates, the club and the supporters.”
Meanwhile, Icardi will look to continue his form as Cagliari play hosts on Saturday. A win could potentially push them in the first place, with league leaders Napoli facing 14th placed Udinese.
